Bachelor of Health Care Management (BHCM) in Nepal

Pokhara University launched the program of Bachelor of Health Care Management (BHCM) in 2000 AD to fulfil the growing need for qualified healthcare professionals with healthcare management/administration degree. This 8 Semesters (4 Years) program prepares students to enter management practice in a health care setting. 
Different health care companies, hospitals and organizations related to healthcare management, are in need of qualified and trained candidates with healthcare management/administration degree. 

Objectives:
The program has the following objectives to achieve its mission:

  • To produce qualified health care management / administration professionals.
  • To acquaint students with modern principles, concepts and ways of health care management.
  • To arouse awareness and interest in students about the importance and fundamental role that health care management plays in strengthening the development of the country and the people.
  • To prepare students for higher-level studies and research, such as Master's Degree and PhD in this area.
Eligibility
To be eligible for applying to study BHCM program the minimum 2nd Division from +2(intermediate) level or Equivalent from in any discipline is required. PCL in General Medicine, Ophthalmic Science, Dental Science can also apply.
